Who Am I
Some clues…
The things I love include:
-
Dreamwork: gifts from the unconscious
-
Voluntary Simplicity: a life that is outwardly simple, inwardly rich
-
Compassionate Communication: listening for feelings and needs of myself and others
-
Peace Corps: living in a 350-square-foot apartment in Suriname, South America
-
The Dignity Movement: rankism (nobodies vs somebodies) is not okay
I’m also an animal lover and I believe we can learn much from them. On the Chinese calendar I’m a dog: honest, loyal and able to keep secrets. Here are some animal descriptions of clutterers I have known.
Golden Retriever: Things are messy but they can retrieve anything they need within seconds.
Squirrel: Buries so many things, he doesn’t even know where they are.
Sloth: Wants to clean up the mess, but it’s just too much trouble.
Blue Jay: Collects things from everyone; there’s never enough.
Things I’ve done:
-
A Master’s in Culture and Spirituality from Holy Names University
-
A certificate in Dream Studies, John F. Kennedy University (nearly completed).
-
Office manager for a children’s counseling center
-
Lifestyles editor for two daily newspapers
-
Manager of an American Cancer Society resale shop
-
Student of Nonviolent Communication and the Enneagram
-
Power of Now enthusiast
